Winter Wonderland!

Jessica & Matt
12/18/10

Winter Weddings are absolutely fabulous, in fact Winter is my favorite season for weddings. The quintessential ice, snow, crystals and a touch of deep purple had guests raving about the decor at Matt & Jessica's December nuptials. Not a bad way to start my career at the Omni Severin Hotel.

Coming from off premise catering where winter weddings were unheard of, I got my first taste of the magic of a winter wedding. As the Jessica and Matt exited the ceremony as husband and wife the heavens opened up and it snowed inside of the Omni Severin Hotel.

The Severin Lobby was adorned with holiday decor, twinkle lights, and white floral to make this dinner fit for a winter feast.

First Impression Band kicked off dancing with their first dance. As Matt twirled Jessica around the dance floor all guests were in awe of their grace and immense love for each other.

As the night wore on the party got more lively, all couples of all ages were on the dance floor having a great time.

Best of luck to you Jessica and Matt!!

Wedding Planner Bridezilla?

Are wedding planner brides doomed to being bridezillas?

As many of you now know I myself am a Omni Bride. On September 2, 2012 my wonderful Fiance Ben and I will be getting married under the sparkling chandeliers of the Severin Ballroom.

Originally from Cleveland, OH, Ben and I have made a home in Indianapolis. It is only fitting that we are married in the hotel I call home. The first time I saw this majestic space my heart skipped a beat and we want all of my friends and family to relish the space that I love so much.

So needless to say I am a wedding planner, therefore a perfectionist. Where is that fine line drawn between extremely detailed to demanding? My staff jokes that I will be a bridezilla. Me a bridezilla, I know this process oh to well to be a nervous wreck!

I joke with them that on the day of I will be wired on the radio with them demanding items. "Bride to set up, Bride to set up, we need a another chair at table 11." "Bride to captain, can you bring me another glass of champagne" We all laugh about this because they know as well as I do that I would get it myself before asking anyone else to do it.

The staff here is so wonderful that I know they will make my day perfect. They know exactly how I like things to run at the weddings I plan here and will do the same for me. In my opinion I am the luckiest girl to have best of both worlds!

This last statement leads me to my next question. Will I be able to be just the bride on my special day or will the need to be the planner as well turn me into a BRIDEZILLA!
